Arrive into Denver and transfer independently to your hotel. Overnight in Denver.

Enjoy a tour of Denver, the ‘Mile High City’ which includes the gold-domed State Capitol. Feel like you’re on top of the world as you enter Rocky Mountain National Park. Experience Trail Ridge Road, known as the ‘Highway to the Sky’ with incomparable views in every direction. Continue to Cheyenne, Wyoming’s capital city, epitomising the spirit of the Old West. Overnight in Cheyenne.

Visit Fort Laramie National Historic Site, originally established as a private fur trading fort and evolved into the largest and best-known military post on the Northern Plains. Continue through the majestic beauty of South Dakota’s Black Hills to Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Marvel at the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln and America’s rich heritage. Overnight in Rapid City.

Travel through Bighorn National Forest and take in stunning views of the rolling hills, alpine lakes, craggy cliffs, thick pine forests and the Bighorn Mountains. Visit the Buffalo Bill Museum which celebrates the spirit of the American West, including the culture and art that bring the heritage of Wyoming to life. This evening, perhaps enjoy a rodeo, a gun fight re-enactment or country music (extra charge). Overnight in Cody.

Journey into America’s first national park and nature’s wonderland, Yellowstone National Park. Admire Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs and Yellowstone Canyon. This mountain wildland is also home to eagles, grizzly and black bears, buffalo, elk and more. Overnight in Yellowstone National Park.

Today’s journey takes you through scenic Southern Idaho to Salt Lake City, the capital of the state of Utah, best known for the Mormon Community. Upon arrival, enjoy views of the State Capitol Building and historic Temple Square, home to the 6-spired Salt Lake Temple and domed Tabernacle of the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Enjoy an evening at leisure. Overnight in Salt Lake City.

Heading south this morning, pass through Provo en route to Canyonlands National Park. Admire a wilderness of countless canyons and fantastically formed buttes carved by the Colorado River and its tributaries. Visit some of the most scenic spots on the Island in the Sky mesa that rests on sheer sandstone cliffs above the surrounding terrain. Continue to Moab for a two night stay.

Visit Arches National Park today, one of Utah’s Mighty 5. Discover a landscape of contrasting colours, landform and textures unlike any other in the world. With over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles and giant balanced rocks, this red rock wonderland will amaze you with its formations and unique scenery. Return to hotel in the late afternoon.

Today, visit Capitol Reef National Park, a destination of extraordinary natural beauty, established in 1937 to protect a unique geological feature. Continue to spectacular Bryce Canyon, where a tour through a multi-coloured world of sandstone spires and pinnacles, ‘hoodoos’, will dazzle the eye. This evening, weather permitting, gaze upon the spectacular night sky filled with sparkling stars and brilliant constellations. Overnight in Bryce Canyon.

At Zion National Park, see the massive rock formations carved by wind, time and the Virgin River. This afternoon, experience the contrast of Las Vegas, the dazzling ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’. Capture a photo memory at the famous Las Vegas sign. Stay the next two nights in Las Vegas.

Enjoy Las Vegas at your own pace today. Stroll the famous Strip, shop until you drop, try your luck at one of the bustling casinos or take in a spectacular show (extra charge).

Having enjoyed glamorous Las Vegas, it will be a sharp contrast this afternoon to enter the quiet and extreme environment of Death Valley. Stop at Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Visitors Center before continuing across the valley and ascending the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the alpine resort town of Mammoth Lakes. The area gained prominence as a gold mining town in the 19th century and today is renowned for the superior skiing terrain and staggeringly beautiful mountain vistas. Overnight in Mammoth Lakes.

Note: +A visit to Mammoth Lakes may not be possible during the winter months (October to May), due to weather and road conditions of the Tioga Pass. Alternatively, the tour will overnight in Fresno or Visalia.

Your journey today brings you to the Tioga Pass and into the scenic wonderland of Yosemite National Park. Experience the valley floor and its splendours including the glacialshaped granite formations of El Capitan, Half Dome, the magnificent Bridalveil Fall and Yosemite Falls. Continue on to San Francisco and stay for two nights.

Enjoy a morning city tour visiting Union Square, the Civic Center and Fisherman’s Wharf. Standing on a hilltop, watching the fog swirl in through the Golden Gate, it is easy to understand why many consider San Francisco the most beautiful city in America. This afternoon is free to explore beautiful San Francisco at your own pace. Take a cable car ride to Fisherman’s Wharf or head across the bay to Alcatraz Island (extra charge).

Your tour concludes upon check-out of your hotel this morning.
